Why there is no cookie banner

Because there is nothing to consent to. Reading this site sets no cookies whatsoever. The only things it can ever put in your browser are a note of which colour theme you picked, and a sign-in cookie if you log in to a private area. Both are explained in full below.

The whole notice, in one line

Nothing is stored in your browser unless you press the theme toggle or sign in to a password-protected area — and neither of those is used to track you.

01 What a cookie banner is actually for

European law requires consent before a site stores or reads anything on your device, unless that storage is strictly necessary to do something you asked for. The banners you meet everywhere exist because most sites store a great deal that is not necessary: advertising identifiers, cross-site trackers, analytics profiles.

We built our analytics so that none of that is needed. Visits are counted at our end using a code derived on the fly and thrown away, never written to your browser. That is a genuinely more difficult way to build it, and it is why this page can be short.

02 Everything this site can store, in full

WhatWhenWhat it is forHow long
Reading any public page — Nothing is stored. No cookie, no local storage, no identifier. —
ca-theme
local storage, not a cookie
Only if you press the colour toggle at the bottom-left of the page. Remembers whether you chose the Sunset or Forest colours, so the site does not flip back on your next visit. Until you clear your browser storage.
Sign-in cookie Only if you sign in to a private area. Keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Strictly necessary — without it the password would have to be typed on every page. Until the session ends or you sign out.
Contact-form check Only when you open the contact form. A privacy-preserving check that confirms a real person, not a script, is filling in the form. It does not profile you or follow you across sites. The duration of the check.
Security check Rarely, to verify a suspicious connection. Protects the site from attack. Strictly necessary, set by our infrastructure, and not used for analytics or advertising. Short-lived.

That is the complete list. If you find something in your browser from this domain that is not on it, we would genuinely like to know: dj@clearagency.ai.

03 What this site does not have

✓No Google Analytics, and no third-party analytics product of any kind.
✓No advertising or remarketing tags — no Meta pixel, no Google Ads, no LinkedIn Insight.
✓No cross-site trackers, no data brokers, no fingerprinting scripts.
✓No social media embeds that phone home while you read.
✓No consent banner — because the four things above are the only reason to need one.

04 Clearing what little there is

The theme choice sits in your browser’s local storage and never leaves your device — we cannot read it, and it is not sent to us. Clearing site data for clearagency.ai in your browser settings removes it, and the site simply returns to its default colours. Signing out of a client area clears the sign-in cookie.

05 How this may change

If we ever add something that stores more than the above, we will ask you first, and this page will say what it is before it is switched on. The date at the top of the page tells you when it last changed.
